Welcome to the Somerset Positive Activities Survey

This survey aims to gather information about what activities young people in Somerset take part in, and what they think of those activities. The survey is being run by Somerset County Council and the results will be shared with lots of groups that provide things for young people to do, so that improvements can be made. The survey is anonymous and we will not record or use your personal details in any way that could identify you.

The focus of this survey is Positive Activities, organised things that take place out of school time. Many things count as a positive activity, including residential weekends, organised sports, dance and drama, making music, youth clubs and projects, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and volunteering.

The survey is in 6 parts:

  • Part 1 asks for some information about you
  • Part 2 asks about what activities you take part in, and how often
  • Part 3 asks what you think about the activities which are available where you live
  • Part 4 asks about the activities that you’d like to be able to do
  • Part 5 asks you how you find out about things to do and places to go
  • Part 6 gives you the chance to win a £50 voucher for completing the survey

If you want more information about the survey or what we plan to do with the results, our contact details are at the bottom of this page.
